The Pursuit of Holiness

The Pursuit of Holiness poses this question: What does holiness look like? For starters, it doesn't look anything like perfection. And it doesn't necessarily look like victory. Mostly, it consists of effort, prayer, grace, and obedience. "Scripture speaks of both a holiness we have in Christ before God, and a holiness we are to strive after," writes the author. In other words, we can ignore neither Christ's role nor our own if we are to successfully pursue holiness. This class shows us how to take holiness out of the realm of the impossible and brings it into "the real world" of our daily lives and decisions.

This class is only open to those who are 18-30 years old!

Come Grow in Your Christian Life

Sometimes the Christian life can feel like a long journey on a desolate highway. The road is tough, and we may spend many nights exposed to the elements, sleepless and shelter-less. But God has not left us to walk the path by ourselves. He is right by our sides even when we feel the most alone. Sometimes God appears to us in the form of a fellow traveler, or maybe a restful oasis, or sometimes He might even come to us in that extra bit of resolve that enables us to make it through the day when everything seems hopeless. He has promised to be our guide. This class is designed to help us understand.

Sacred Pathways

Has your Christian walk become a spiritual rut? Maybe it's because you're trying to follow somebody else's path. Describing nine different temperaments---naturalist, sensate, traditionalist, ascetic, activist, caregiver, enthusiast, contemplative, and intellectual --- for the way we approach God through our given temperaments.   This class will be an informal book discussion that will help you more naturally express your relationship with God and follow the route he has designed you to travel.

The Gospel of John

Most commentators suggest that the Gospel of John is very different from the other Gospels.  The action centers in Jerusalem rather than in Galilee, as Jesus’ teachings are given in long discourses rather than in parables and the call to faith and promise of eternal life are repeatedly emphasized. Of even greater importance of this Gospel is the significance of His death.  The focus of the first 12 chapters are on a few public miracles which are meant to be “signs” pointing to Jesus’ identity as the savior of the world with the latter chapters concentrating on Jesus teaching of his mission with his disciples. This series on the Gospel of John will be presented in a 16 week interactive study and will engage us to think carefully about the command to “love one another” and how we may impact our world for the kingdom of God.

Ten Foolish Things Christians Do To Stunt Their Growth

In a friendly, animated style, the author zeros in on ten common problems directly related to our behavior such as: focusing on outward appearances, playing the "Lone Ranger", feeding a spiritually "split personality", building faith only on emotion, allowing the outflow to get stopped up and five other equally frustrating lifestyle habits. If you're tired of a sluggish Christianity and want to get into a growth mode try this class!

Why Christianity?

“Is God real?  How can I know He’s real?”

“Why did Jesus die on a cross?”

“What makes Christianity different from every other religion?”

Got questions about the Christian faith? Maybe you know someone who does?  Why Christianity? intends to answer people’s questions about God and faith in Him.  If you, your friends or family have questions about the Christian faith, then make a six-week commitment and be part of the discussion as we talk about spiritual things in a relaxed and open environment.
