Small Group Ministry

We believe Small Groups are the best place for sustained life-change to occur. Individuals and couples study God's Word together in a small enough environment to discuss the issues and challenges of life. It is also where we pray and care for each other, and you are missed if you do not show up. Small Groups are made up of 10-12 adults and are the place where you are personally encouraged and challenged in your relationship with God and each other.

This is an opportunity for individuals, couples, and whole families desiring to connect more deeply with other believers at Grace. Groups meet for fellowship the second and fourth Sunday of every month between September and June.

It is the goal of our Small Group ministry to realize a thriving network of holistic Small Groups as an integral part of the life and ministry of our church. Each group includes the elements: God's Word; Nurturing relationships; and outreach.

The groups are encouraged to incorporate all of the above elements. However, each is free to emphasize one element over the others, so long as it does not lead to the exclusion of the others. Therefore, it is possible that a group may emphasize outreach or fellowship or Bible study while maintaining a lesser emphasis on the other two elements.

Small Groups follow the Biblical model of the early church, as believers met together regularly in each other's homes for teaching, fellowship, worship, and encouragement (Acts 2:42, 46-47; 5:42; 20:20). They provide a secure environment which encourages the risks necessary for growth in discipleship. The objective is healthy Small Groups that will foster Biblical love, promote fellowship and unity, build the body, and nurture spiritual growth.

Many involved in the Small Group ministry have expressed their excitement and appreciation for what this ministry has done for them. If you are not currently involved in a Small Group, we invite you to take part and share in the blessings of this ministry.
