Student Ministry Welcome
Our Student Ministries program focuses on 7 through 12 grade students. Our goal is to help students love God, love others, and impact their world.
We believe that every student is important. We want each student to feel connected and cared about and we want them to have a great time! We want to help them live their life according to God’s Word by challenging them to know, worship, serve and love God. We want to give each student the opportunity to use his abilities to minister to others at home, at school, in our church, in the community and around the world. We want every student to be able to share and defend his faith and we also want to challenge every student to be in an accountable relationship in order to grow in their faith.
Sunday Morning Program
The program for Middle School and High School students meets in Room 206 on Sunday Mornings at 9:00 AM. Students meet together for the opening portion of the program. Students then choose which class to attend during the teaching time. They can attend Foundations or Deeper. Foundations is designed to challenge students to learn the foundations of their faith. Deeper is designed to takes students to a deeper level of faith. Students are expected to study Biblical passages and other resources during the week to prepare for the discussion during Deeper. This fall we will be discussing God's nature, the Bible, sin, salvation, the Trinity, and living for God. This is a great time to learn more about how to live your life for God and to get to know other students.
Wednesday Night Program
Our Wednesday Night Program runs from October through April each year. On Wednesday Nights we split our group by High School (grades 9-12) and Middle School (grades 7-8). Our Wednesday Night Program resumes on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008 from 6:45 PM to 8:00 PM.
High School Program 6:45 PM – 8:00 PM
Our high school students meet in Room 207 at 6:45. We normally spend some time hanging out and having fun by playing some sort of crazy opening game. The night also includes a time of prayer where our students share prayer requests and pray for each other and a discussion of God’s Word. Our Wednesday Night program will resume on Wednesday, October 1. This fall we will be discussing a variety of topics including anger, pride, greed, worry, pain, envy, and more. We will be focusing on how God can help us deal with these topics. Come and learn how God can help you live an amazing life!
Middle School Program 6:45 PM - 8:00 PM
Our middle school students meet in our Family Life Center. After playing some crazy games in the gym, everyone heads upstairs to Room 208 for the rest of the night. The night includes a discussion of God’s Word, prayer time and small group interaction. The Middle School Wednesday Night program will resume on Wednesday, October 1. This fall we will be discussing how to develop a Godly character by studying Biblical and historical examples. Don't miss this great series where you can learn how to please God by following the example of others!
Hang Time: May to September
On the first and third Wednesday nights of May through September we meet as a combined group to hang out and have fun. The arrival and departure times vary depending on the activity for the evening. Past activities have included Capture the Flag, pool parties, river parties, bonfires, Barnstormers' Game and much more. Check the Schedule of Events to see the current Hang Time schedule.
