Becoming a member at Grace Church at Willow Valley is about becoming part of a spiritual family. As you get connected at Grace Church, you may have questions or come to a point where you're ready to call this church your home. We invite all newcomers and those considering church membership to attend our Next Steps class.
Attending the class doesn’t commit you to membership, but it will help you learn more about who we are, what we believe, and how we live together. You'll also meet some of our pastors and leaders, and have the chance to connect with others exploring membership alongside you.
How Do I Become A Member?
- Attend Next Steps. In this 6-week class, we introduce you to what we believe as a church, how we're organized, and what our life together looks like. We offer this class twice a year (Spring and Fall), so be sure to check our calendar for the next opportunity to join.
- Fill out the Membership Application. At the final session of the class, you’ll receive a Membership Application packet. This includes a short form with some basic information about you, along with space to share your testimony of how you came to faith in Jesus Christ.
- Meet with an Elder. After you submit your Membership Application, one or two elders will reach out to schedule a time to meet with you. This meeting will be dedicated to hearing your testimony and your understanding of the gospel. They will also ask how they can serve you as you become a member of Grace Church.
- Church Affirmation. Pending a vote to approve you into membership by the elders, we will introduce you to the church as a new member in one of our worship services!
